STAROFASH Featuring PECCATUM's IHRIEL Working On New Material

September 29, 2006

Mnemosyne Productions, the company owned/operated by partners Ihsahn (EMPEROR frontman) and wife Ihriel since 2003, has announced the launch of the new STAROFASHweb site. These pages contain general information, visuals and audio samples and will be regularly updated with news. A taste of the STAROFASH material currently in progress will also be available soon. All artwork was done by the Spanish designer Ritxi.

STAROFASH is the solo project of Heidi S. Tveitan (a.k.a. Ihriel) of the acclaimed experimental metal act PECCATUM. After several years and releases with PECCATUM, she developed ideas for a new musical entity, soon supported and signed to the Norwegian label, Jester Records, in 2001.

STAROFASH's debut album "Iter.Viator" (2002),is described in a press release as "a poetic and graceful drama, a melancholic movement over strings, guitars, keyboards, drums and voices, echoing CURRENT 93, early DEAD CAN DANCE and CRAIG ARMSTRONG soundtracks. This album pushes the boundaries of traditional genre categorization and instrument usage, while remaining true to a soulful pattern that is Heidi S. Tveitan's alone. 'Iter.Viator' also presents guest appearances by members of EMPEROR and ULVER."

Mnemosyne Productions was established as an outlet for Ihsahn and Ihriel's musical collaborations as well a place for new talent and innovative artists.
